Job Description
Full time Maintenance Manager for Holy Family Parish, a Catholic Church in the Diocese of Youngstown with two locations - St. Therese in Brewster (church and a hall); St. Clement in Navarre (church, hall, office and parish house.) Maintain St. Clement Cemetery with staff.  This position would oversee part-time Custodian at St. Therese location.

Candidate must be organized, possess strong attention to detail, independent worker, and work well with volunteers.

Responsibilities And Duties:

• Groundskeeping of campus year-round, including mowing, weeding, mulching, leaf and snow removal
• Repair and maintenance of buildings (interior and exterior) with emphasis on preventative maintenance
• Obtain quotes for any major repairs and present to Parish Leader
• Meet with Contractors who perform yearly inspections on equipment (i.e. Fire Inspection, HVAC, etc.)
• Oversee all projects of outside contractors (roofing, construction, heating/cooling, etc.)
• Weekly re-set of tables and chairs when needed for Friday Bingo, and set-up for scheduled rental events
• Maintaining all machinery (i.e. mowers, snow equipment, backhoe, freezers, dishwasher, coolers, ovens)
• Moving of furniture and equipment as needed
• Oversee volunteers and staff who assist with maintenance
• Maintain clean and safe workshop in both halls and cemetery buildings

Annual Festival Responsibilities And Duties (2nd week of June)

• On premise during festival (three evenings) in the event any issues should arise
• Work with Festival Coordinator to make certain all needs are addressed
• Clean, prep & place Festival fixtures in proper locations
• Clean and prep garages, pop-up kitchen spaces and hall kitchen for Festival
• Assist volunteer crews to set up booths, tables, etc.
• Work with vendor deliveries, coordinate with Amusement Company for placement and electrical

• Coordinate trash efforts during and after event

• Assist with tear down, clean equipment and store items for next year

St. Clement Cemetery Responsibilities And Duties

• Oversee and assist seasonal staff in mowing, leaf removal, edging and trimming around headstones as needed
• Placement and probing layout for burials (Average 5-10 per year)
  • Placing & removal of cribbing inside of graves
  • Assist with soil removal, haul soil to dumpsite at rear of Cemetery w/truck
  • Replace soil after burial, layout footer for headstone
• Removal of leftover objects (i.e. plastic flowers, wreaths, etc.)
• Seed all new graves in the spring
• Maintain water hydrants and trash bins
• Operate backhoe as needed
• Removal of snow as needed from roadways for accessibility to graves
