Maintenance Repair and Operations PURCHASER/MAINTENANCE CLERK
DAY SHIFT 7AM TO 3PM MONDAY THRU FRIDAY
PAY RATE $26.75

- Budget Ownership. The MRO Purchaser and Clerk understands, tracks, and reports against the budget objectives for their assigned department(s). This role will track and adjust lead times to understand the impact of receipts upon budgets as well as identify and escalate issues proactively to leadership.
- MRO Leadership. The MRO Purchaser and Clerk manages the operations of their assigned storeroom(s) with guidance from the Corporate R&M team and the Operations Manager. This role executes stocking, critical spares, and stock disposition activities. This role will implement and maintain corporate organizational standards within their assigned storeroom(s) and ensure alignment between the CMMS and the physical inventory locations for their assigned storerooms. They are the voice for their assigned storerooms and champion best in class inventory accuracy and spare parts reliability, including proper storage and PM of spare parts.
- Procurement Standards. Maintains adherence to corporate procurement methodologies and agreements. Works with Operations Manager, vendor representatives, and additional resources to ensure adherence to standards, escalates issues to site and corporate resources as needed.
- MRO and CMMS Training and Technical Support. The MRO Purchaser and Clerk will support and train maintenance department personnel and support the location and identification of inventory. They may provide additional training and support to the site as needed to ensure proper accountability of indirect inventory.
- Purchasing Support and Training. Trains site resources to properly manage indirect departmental purchases and budgets. Escalates risks associated with budget ownership and process deviations.
- Risk Mitigation. Proactively monitors and notifies stakeholders of procurement issues effecting the site or network. Develops risk mitigation plans in coordination with stakeholders to prevent unplanned production losses and increased costs.
- MRO Data Stewardship. Responsible for the accuracy of CMMS data in their assigned storeroom(s) and escalates issues or findings to their leader. Understands and utilizes proper nomenclature for parts. Works closely with the Corporate M&R team to ensure that internal and external MRO parts data are aligned. Works with Operations Manager and corporate team to capture obsolescence, replacement, and evolution of parts as communicated by the vendors
What you bring to the party:
- Education and Work Experience
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in Indirect inventory purchasing (MRO preferred).
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in MRO storerooms (preferred) or 1 year in inventory management environments.
- Understanding of maintenance and reliability processes, preferably in food or CPG manufacturing environments.
- In depth working knowledge of purchasing process and practices.
- Experience with purchasing using inventory management or CMMS software (Maintenance Connection preferred).
- Should possess a strong understanding and ability to properly identify electrical and mechanical parts.
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills, including written and verbal.
- Experience in an FDA regulated environment where quality, compliance, and safety are core values
