Job Duties

 Responsibility for food preparation and kitchen oversight of lunches.

Assume responsibility for cooking and baking proportions and presentation of all food served.

Work with Kitchen Manager in following nutrition guidelines for recipes.

Ensure that the kitchen and related areas are kept clean and free of clutter.

Coordinate with the Kitchen Manager the rotation of food in coolers, freezers, Moving the oldest inventory to the front and using it first, etc.

Maintain records as might be required regarding daily and weekly menus.

Endeavor always to maintain necessary communications and promote harmony with staff.

Minimize or alleviate causes and conditions which might result in accidents or injuries to workers.

Practice good personal hygiene and grooming, wearing required and suitable clothing.

Work in accordance with food service laws.

Maintain proper food handling.

Other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to push, pull, or lift 35 pounds using proper body
• Ability to work standing, walking, or moving for 3-4 hours without needing to sit

Certification

• Serve Safe Level II (or a willingness to obtain it).
• Valid Ohio Driver’s License
