ASST. BUS MECHANIC (8 hrs)

An 8 hour Assistant Bus Mechanic is needed for the 2021/2022 school year.  This is a 260 day contract position. The applicant must obtain a CDL Class “B” school bus, have knowledge, ability and demonstrated skills for performing the job objective, and the ability to follow directions. • repairs school vehicle in compliance with State of Ohio
• maintain proper vehicle identification, brake adjustments, lighting, check tire wear, etc.
• diagnose the causes of malfunctions for vehicle
• maintain records for maintenance
• carries out a preventative maintenance program and reports the condition of vehicles or equipment
• drives emergency bus routes in the confines of the day as determined by the Director of Transportation
