Expert Auto Collision is NOW HIRING an AUTO BODY TECHNICIAN to work in our busy collision center located in Massillon, Ohio.  We are currently seeking an experienced Auto Body Tech.  The ideal Tech will be able to move right into the flow of work and also with repairing light to heavy frame damage. Welding experience is a must as well as the knowledge of bodywork.  Candidate should have previous experience in working a dealer or independent auto repair facility as well as a strong understanding of the customer and insurance repair cycle.  Techs being considered for this position must understand the importance of being timely as well as accurate throughout the repair process.

 

 

Position Overview:

Auto Body Tech is responsible for the performing of repairs to collision damaged vehicles as assigned in accordance with small shop and factory standards.

 

Day to Day Responsibilities:

- Perform work outlined on repair estimates with efficiency and accuracy

- Communicate with others to obtain required parts and other needs to complete vehicle

- Examine a vehicle and determine if additional work is required

- Document all work performed as soon as the job is complete

- Use basic mathematical skills

- Perform all body repairs according to an estimate

- Perform welding, soldering, body/frame alignment as well as oxidizing operations

- Understand and follow federal, state and local regulations such as the disposal of hazardous waste

- Operate all equipment within the Collision facility in a safe manner

- Maintain a clean and safe work environment

 

Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• ASE Certification ( Preferred )
• AT LEAST TWO YEARS EXPERIENCE
• MUST have a VALID DRIVERS LICENSE
• Ability to operate a vehicle
• MUST HAVE OWN TOOLS
