Christian Children's Home of Ohio is seeking a Third Shift Treatment Specialist to assist in caring for a group of at risk, special needs children, ages 6-18, under assigned supervision of the CRC Third Shift Supervisor and leadership of CRC Third Shift Leader.
Night Shift staff focus – in addition to caring for resident children – on deep cleaning in the cottages, and ensuring a safe and healthy environment for staff and residents.
QUALIFICATIONS: Must be age 21. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one to three months' related experience and/or training strongly preferred.

While performing the duties of the job, the employee is frequently required to walk, sit, talk and hear, including requirement to stand or walk for extended periods of time, often through uneven terrain. The employee is occasionally required to stand, use hands/fingers, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms, climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. The employee must be able to be outdoors in various weather conditions for extended amounts of time. The ability to cope with and tolerate high levels of stress is also a necessity. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Ability to maintain compliance/certification with CCHO’s requirements for using physical restraints (SCM: Safe Crisis Management) including sufficient strength and completion of extensive training. Physical ability to respond to crisis, including, but not limited to: running and performing physical restraints.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; fumes or airborne particles and outside weather conditions. The noise in the environment is varied, often loud and chaotic.

Treatment Specialists are required to be able to restrain a client when necessary (training provided) and must be able to pass a pre-employment physical.
